Webinar series: The Ethics of Researching the Far Right

by | Aug 14, 2024

This webinar series, co-organized by RPRN, CASEI and C-REX, aims to initiate and facilitate a much needed discussion about the methodological, ethical, political, personal, practical and professional issues and challenges that arise when researching far right parties, protest movements, and violent actions.

The topics addressed in the webinars will be based on the volume ‘The Ethics of Researching the Far Right: Critical Approaches and Reflections‘ (Manchester University Press– Racism, Resistance and Social Change series), edited by Antonia Vaughan, Joan Braune, Meghan Tinsley, and Aurelien Mondon.

The webinars are moderated by Audrey Gagnon (C-REX), Aurelien Mondon (RPRN) and Aaron Winter (CASEI). Each webinar will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 3-4:30pm CET.

Between 2020 and 2024, the webinar series was co-organized by C-REX and PERIL. Many of the topics addressed in the webinars were inspired by the volume ‘Researching the Far Right: Theory, Method and Practice’ (Routledge, 2020) edited by Stephen Ashe, Joel Busher, Graham Macklin and Aaron Winter.
